When you order a floor to be delivered to your home, as you might imagine, the delivery is not going to resemble the usual small package deliveries you get from UPS or the US Post. A driver can’t carry this to your door and ring the doorbell to hand it off to you. In most cases, your order will be in the 1,000 to 2,000 lbs. range and will be secured to a pallet. What shippers offer is a service called Curbside Delivery. But what is that? If you have never received material this way, what should happen? We have two videos on the subject, well worth watching, to prepare you for the arrival of your floor.
What Should You See?
I interviewed a UPS driver about what the customer should expect to happen with a curbside delivery. Here is how he described it:
What Should You Do?
This video is even more important. How do you check your delivery, what should you look for, and what do you note on the driver’s receipt? Our Brian goes over this in detail, and very clearly. Follow these steps when your material arrives. These are all things you should do before signing for the delivery and the driver leaves.
